  2. Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning (Library)
  3. Delirium by Lauren Oliver (Library)
  4. The Uncanny Valley by Gregory Miller (Review Request)
  5. Taking Care Of Business by Megan Hart & Lauren Dane (Library)
  6. Die For Me by Amy Plum (Library)

As usual, everything seemed to come in at the library at once this week. *sigh* But, that’s alright. I get 3 weeks for each book and then I can renew each one up to 2 times (for 3 weeks each) so a max of 9 weeks. So, I don’t worry about that too much.

I also got a review request book, The Uncanny Valley by Gregory Miller from Gregory himself. It looks like a cool little collection of fairy-tale type stories so that sounds like it’ll be pretty neat.

I’m very excited to finally get to the first books in the Kate Daniels and Fever series’. I know, I’m way late on the bandwagon for those two. But hey, better late than never, I say! :)

Die For Me and Delirium are two that I’ve been eagerly waiting for and can’t wait to read those since I’ve heard so many good things about both of them.

Finally, Taking Care Of Business is my latest Megan Hart book to read. I’m wondering if I’ll like it as much, being that it’s co-written with Lauren Dane, and I’ve never read anything by her before. We’ll have to see!

Site Announcement!

On a side note, and completely unrelated to In My Mailbox. I put up my new layout! I’ve been working on it and tweaking it for awhile, so I’m excited to finally see it go live. I hope you guys like it.

I have some future ideas for it as well. I might like to add a little color switcher, for those who don’t like pink. I think it’d be kind of cool to be able to switch between different colors. We’ll see about that though later. lol

But, please let me know if you have any issues viewing the blog in the new layout. If you do have an issue I’d definitely appreciate you letting me know. You can use the contact form or leave a comment here. Just be sure to tell me what browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and platform (Windows, Apple, or Linux) you’re on so I can know where the issue is coming from.

Anyways, hope you like it!

  1. So glad you're reading Kate Daniels & the Fever series – these are 2 of my favorites and I try to pimp them as much as I can!

Your new layout looks wonderful! I use IE9 and Windows7. I just got Dreamweaver so that I could start trying my hand at design, do you have any tips?

    • Yes, I have had so many people telling me to read them NOW! lol All the evil new books that look so good have been causing me to put them off. But, I'm finally getting to them. I'm excited! Glad to hear they're some of your favorites too. :)

And thanks for letting me know! Dreamweaver is awesome, that's what I use. My biggest tip would be to play around and just google what you're trying to do (or you can ask me of course lol). But that's how I got started back when I was in high school. I was on a Geocities site. I don't know if you remember those, but they were all the rage back then. Kind of like Blogger is now. But just like blogger they had a very much scary "code your page using html" box. So one day I think there was something I wanted to do that couldn't be done with the normal drag and drop stuff. So I decided to try out the html box. I would just do little things here and there to get my feet wet. Sooner or later, I bought my own domain and the rest is history. There are literally thousands of free tutorials out there on anything you want to know. So yeah, that's my biggest tip. Start small (with the html box on Blogger) and just keep trying new things. :)

Okay, I love the Kate Daniels books, but Magic Bites is probably my least favorite in the series. It took me a while to get into it, but I can only say: if it happens to you, push through. It'll be worth it. It's a great series, and it doesn't suffer from the fact that it continues after the main couple gets together. Plus, Kate is AWESOME!

Plus, The Mephisto Covenant just came out on NetGalley this week. That, and the pretty dress cover means that everyone and their mother will have requested it. Thanks for visiting my blog!
