Disruption by Steven Whibley – A YA Action Thriller

Matt is a habitual prankster who’s pulled off his latest – and has his parents sending him off to Camp Friendship, a camp that promises to strengthen the moral compass of today’s youth. Matt’s expectations don’t line up with what he finds upon setting foot in camp, however, as he is nearly killed twice. There’s more to the picture-perfect place, he discovers, than meets the eye, what with programs like forging passports, fight training, weapons drills, and a multitude of hidden rooms. He thinks his parents have probably enrolled him in some elite spy school, but reality is more sinister than that. Because Camp Friendship is hiding something, and the way Matt sees it, he only has two choices: pull the prank of a lifetime to escape, or die trying.

What Readers Are Saying

This book was a great, fast read and would especially appeal to teenage boys, I think. I love how each of the characters had unique voices – and how the author was able to make me care for them – despite the fact the the lines between “good” and “evil” had become a bit blurred and you learn things about some characters that should make you recoil in horror – but somehow, Whibley makes them so “human” that you care about them and find it hard to judge blindly. ” – Amazon customer ★★★★★

This book is an exciting read that lets you imagine yourself into the lead character Matt. I found excuses to sneak away so I could read another page. I won’t rehash what the book is about. You can read the description yourself. I am a Steven Whibley fan and I can honestly say his books won’t let you down. I can’t wait for other installments.” – Lg81here, Amazon reviewer ★★★★★

The book was very well written for both YA, whom it’s tagged for and all ages alike. There is alot of excitement and humour throughout the book. Very engaging and hard to put down once you start reading it. There was no ‘bad’ language which makes it great for all age groups. I loved it and look forward to reading more of his books.” – BethRedd, Amazon reviewer ★★★★★
