An Interview With Aisha Tritle, Author of YA Novel, “Occidis”

Hey everyone! A happy New Year to you guys! Let’s start the year right by checking out this interview with Aisha Tritle, the author of the YA book Occidis. Learn more about her and her writing by reading on!

What are your three favorite books that inspired your writing?

Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz, Raven’s Gate by Anthony Horowitz, and Goldfinger by Ian Fleming.

What do you do when you’re not writing?

I do a lot! I’m the Head of Marketing for a tech startup, Meanwise. I also recently began composing music.

What is the hardest thing about writing, for you?

The hardest thing about writing for me is probably making sure I write consistently. I wish I could write 1,000 words per day but I usually end up doing either 100 words a day or 2,000+ – or sometimes, nothing at all.

What are you excited about right now?

I’m releasing a new series of vampire novellas! The series is called Quimby Bay, and the first will be out in May or June of 2018.

Which book of yours would you recommend a reader start with?

I would recommend they start with Occidis. It’s a fun adventure, and the character’s journey is inspirational. You can check it out here: https://www.amazon.com/Occidis-Sophia-Moreau-Aisha-Tritle/dp/1979014418
