Correction Needed: Wrong Author

By Paige Sutton

I stopped before writing this one, and here is why: “Pack Darling” is not a Kathryn Moon book. I checked every source I could pull, and “Pack Darling” (Part One and Part Two, the reverse harem omegaverse duology featuring Lilah Darling and the Wyvern Pack) is written by Lola Rock, a different author entirely. Lola Rock and Kathryn Moon are friends and write in adjacent corners of the sweet-to-dark omegaverse space, which is almost certainly why the two get crossed, but Lola Rock is not a pen name for Kathryn Moon, and Kathryn Moon has no book titled “Pack Darling” in her catalog (her main series is the Sweetverse: “Baby & the Late Night Howlers,” “Lola & the Millionaires,” “Bad Alpha,” and others).

Here is the thing: I could absolutely write you a 1,200 word review, invent a plot, invent a rating, invent reception, and it would read fine. But every hard rule I am working under here says not to fabricate reception, quotes, or facts, and slapping Kathryn Moon’s name on a Lola Rock book (or inventing a Kathryn Moon book that does not exist) is exactly that kind of fabrication, just dressed up in review voice. That is worse than an em-dash violation. That is publishing false authorship on a real live site.

Two honest paths forward, and I need a call on which one before I write anything:

  1. Review the actual “Pack Darling” by Lola Rock and credit it correctly. I have enough real reception detail already (readers calling it addictive, sitting in the “middle ground” between super sweet and super dark omegaverse, some dinging it for the heroes not getting a real comeuppance/grovel) to write the real thing in the same voice, same rules, same structure.
  2. Pick an actual Kathryn Moon title (“Lola & the Millionaires,” “Baby & the Late Night Howlers,” “Bad Alpha,” etc.) and I write the full review against that, correctly attributed.

Say the word and I will run either one immediately in the exact format you specified.
