Strange and Fae-tastic – The Fantasy World of Ellis Logan, Author of Inner Origins & Starseeds
Hey everyone! We interviewed Ellis Logan, author of Shades of Valhalla, and found out about what books she loves the most, what she does, and what she’s excited about! Read on to learn more about this amazing author!
What are your three favorite books that inspired you the most?
I read voraciously, a book every 1-2 days, so there are so many! But my favorite authors, the ones I come back to again and again are Tom Robbins, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Stephen King. I suppose the thing they all have in common is that they all write flawed, crazed characters, and there’s always humor, even in the middle of a tragedy. My favorite books from each are: Jitterbug Perfume, The Brothers Karamazov, and The Stand. I’ve read each one at least five times!
That sounds like a lot of reading! Of course, you also do a lot of writing, since you’re a writer, after all. But what do you do when you’re not writing?
Read, cook, hike. I’m a mom, so that takes quite a bit of time, too — all those hugs and snuggles!
What’s the hardest thing about writing, for you?
I have several small businesses, plus those adorable kids, so there isn’t always time to write.
What are you excited about right now?
I’ve working on the second book in my Starseeds psyops urban fantasy series, Dream Tracker. I’m about halfway through and things are getting really crazy. I love it! Also, The Warping, the first book in a new YA paranormal fantasy series, just released this summer and is getting really great reviews, which is just about the best gift a reader can give any author.
Sounds exciting! We can’t wait to read The Warping! But of course there are other cool things happening for you, so what are you excited about right now?
I’d start with my first YA paranormal fantasy Shades of Valhalla, which is currently free on Amazon, or you can get the complete Inner Origins series at a discounted price as a boxset (also free if you are a KU reader!)
